{"id":21,"date":"2014-10-27T20:18:01","date_gmt":"2014-10-27T20:18:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bedfordplayers.ns.ca\/WP\/?page_id=21"},"modified":"2020-03-02T18:20:23","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T18:20:23","slug":"scholarship","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bedfordplayers.ca\/?page_id=21","title":{"rendered":"Scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bedford Players will present one $1,000.00 scholarship to a student who will be attending a post-secondary theatre arts program and meets the following eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n<h4>Eligibility<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligible candidates must be pursuing post-secondary studies in Theatre Arts\u00a0meet the following eligibility criteria:\n<ul>\n<li>graduating from Grade 12 in the current school year or in the preceding\u00a0three years, or<\/li>\n<li>who have participated in a Bedford Players production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Students from the following schools are eligible for this scholarship:\n<ul>\n<li>Charles P. Allan High School, Bedford, Nova Scotia<\/li>\n<li>Lockview High School, Fall River, Nova Scotia<\/li>\n<li>Millwood High School, Sackville, Nova Scotia<\/li>\n<li>Sir John A. Macdonald High School, Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia<\/li>\n<li>Sackville High School, Sackville, Nova Scotia<\/li>\n<li>Sandy Lake Academy, Bedford, Nova Scotia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Theatre Arts is defined as the art of acting or of producing plays; drama; all people who write, produce or act in plays.\u00a0 For a theatre arts program to qualify it must include a program of studies which deals with the necessary skills required for staging live productions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Application &amp; Deadline<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications must be received by May 4 to be eligible.
