2018-19 Season

by Neil Simon

Directed by Robin Saywood

Thursday to Sunday from November 1 to 17, 2018

Thu-Sat at 8 pm – Sun at 2 pm

“The Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room, and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken, and wife, Chris, must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.” – Samuel French website

Thursday to Sunday – February 28 to  March 16, 2019

Thu-Sat at 8 pm – Sun at 2 pm

When a human skeleton is found in the wall of the United Baptist Church, Sister Vivian Salter is called in to unravel the mystery. As she coaxes the town to give up its secrets, she butts heads with the local officer, nursing staff, farmhands, and an eccentric mute who claims he convenes with spirits. No one seems to be missing and the locals want to focus on enjoying their recent Hockey Championship win. The case tests Sister Vivian’s spiritual strength as she tries to determine who and what to believe. The more she digs, the more ghosts, murderers and memories she unearths. – Canadian Play Outlet (Playwrights Guild of Canada) website

Cocktails with Mimi

Written by Mary Chase

Directed by Elaine Melanson

Selected dates from May 30 to June 15, 2019

Thu-Sat at 8 pm – Sun at 2 pm

Mimi Ralston, a wealthy and much-married divorcee, is giving a party in honor of the reputedly formidable parents of her daughter’s fiancé. Typically she engages a stunt “waiter” to insult her guests and, specifically, to spill soup on the stuffed-shirt Calthorpes. But her daughter, Edie, fearing that her mother would never be able to stomach her future in-laws, has hired two actors to impersonate them—which works fine until the real Calthorpes arrive on the scene with their son. Thereafter the mistaken identities (and the fun) proliferate until all is in a state of hilarious confusion.
