Executive
The executive of Bedford Players is made up of the President, Vice-President, Past President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Members of the Executive have usually been on the Board in some capacity for at least one term.
The nominating committee will bring forth a proposed list of people to fill the executive and board positions each year at the Annual General Meeting. Notice of upcoming vacancies and call for nominations are advertised before the AGM.
These positions are one- or two-year terms.
President
Provides overall leadership to the organization. Chairs meetings.
Vice President
Assists the President. Fulfills duties of the President in the President’s absence. Acts as the Chair of the Nominating Committee.
Past President
Filled by the immediate past president. Generally acts in an advisory capacity. May chair committees and/or hold other positions within the organization.
Secretary
Maintains minutes of meetings. Distributes minutes. Manages correspondence.
Treasurer
Oversees the organization’s finances. Tracks income and expenses. Pays bills. Will usually fill the Ticketing Liaison position. Reports financial situation to the Board. Computer competence and knowledge of accounting software required.
Board
The Board consists of the Executive, several Members-At-Large, Church Liaison, Artistic Director, and Technical Director.

These positions are one-year terms.
Technical Director
Oversees all technical aspects of the theatre. Ensures all technical equipment is in good working order. Advises on upgrades when required. Will assist with play selection by advising on technical aspects of proposed shows. Advises and assists the Technical Lead and Operators as needed.
Good knowledge of technical aspects of theatre is a definite asset.
Artistic Director
Leads the theatre in lining up the next season – this includes organizing play reads, accepting suggestions for plays from a variety of sources including potential directors, membership, local writers and other sources. Assists in finding Directors and ensures there is an active workshop program within the theatre ensures relevant training for volunteers.
Church Liaison
Since our Theatre is located in a church hall, the Church appoints a liaison as a member of our Board. The liaison is the main channel of communication with the Church regarding scheduling and use of the space.
Member at Large
The remainder of the positions on the Board are made up of Members-at-Large. These members fulfill various duties within the theatre
