About the Show
A small-town funeral home, a surprise Russian fiancée, and one deranged squirrel. This is a fast-paced, heartfelt Canadian comedy about family, love, and letting go.
Audition Details
- No Preparation required. Selections from the script will be provided for a cold read style audition — no prepared monologue needed.
- Individual auditions will begin at 7pm, and actors will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
- All experience levels welcome!

- Sunday, November 23 from 7pm – 9pm and Monday, November 24 from 7pm – 9pm
- Auditions will be held at 1408 Bedford Highway, All Saints Anglican Church (upper parking lot).
Character Breakdown – 7 Roles Available (4 women, 3 men)
- HARRY GIBSON (Late 20s–30s) – Earnest, anxious, deeply human. The awkward heart of the story.
- DECLAN GIBSON (50s–60s) – Harry’s gruff, old-school father with dry humor and hidden warmth.
- LUKE GIBSON (30s–40s) – Harry’s older, more confident brother; grounded, polished.
JO HAGMAN (50s–60s) – Harry & Luke’s Aunt. Practical, sharp-tongued, no-nonsense but caring. - BECCA ROLLINS (Late 20s–30s) – Over-enthusiastic employee at Gibson & Sons. Lovable chaos agent.
KATYA ARISTOV (20s–30s) – Harry’s fiancée. Intelligent and sincere. Ability to perform a Russian accent required.
EVA ARISTOV (30s–40s) – Katya’s fiery sister, bold, blunt, and suspicious of everyone. Ability to perform a Russian accent required.
Rehearsals
- Sundays, Mondays & Thursdays 6:30 – 9:30 PM
- 1408 Bedford Hwy, beginning Sunday, November 30th.
Performances
- The show will run from Thursday to Sunday, March 5 to 21
- 11 performances, plus preview night
