Opportunity: Assistant Stage Manager (ASM)

The ASM position has been filled!

We are currently building an amazing production team for our Fall  Production – Looking by Norm Foster and directed by Sandy Mitchell.

Part of that team will be an Assistant Stage Manager (ASM). This, like all positions with Bedford Players, is a volunteer position.

We are looking for someone who is organized and has attention to detail.  Previous experience as an assistant stage manager or stage manager is not essential.  Experience in community theatre is an asset, but also not essential. What is essential is a willingness to be part of a great team, a positive attitude and a capacity for learning ‘on the job’.

The ASM is involved from early in the rehearsal schedule through to the last performance.  Stage management in any theatre is many-faceted and works with most of the other areas of production and many of the administrative areas as well, so it’s a great opportunity to learn about many aspects of community theatre production.  In this production, the ASM will work closely with the Stage Manager (Amanda Willmore) and the Director (Sandy Mitchell).

Rehearsal and Production dates:

  • Rehearsals: Sun, Mon, Thu evenings from now until November 1
  • Production: Thu – Sun, November 2-18

Questions or expressions of interest can be directed to the Production Manager at prodmgr_fall@bedfordplayers.ca.

Bedford Players Community Theatre is a community organization that operates on a volunteer basis. All participants are volunteers and their time, skills, and efforts are offered with no compensation.  We appreciate all our volunteers and could do nothing without them!
