Stephen Melanson
Featured Volunteer – December2021
I was first asked to help with the production of Arsenic and Old Lace in 2014. After seeing the quality of the production, how much fun everyone was having, and talking with members, I knew this would be a great place to volunteer.
So far, I’ve volunteered to operate the tech for productions, do sound design and lighting design, set construction, and now I’m the Technical Director.
The best thing about being part of Bedford Players is being part of a team, working together with the common purpose of telling a great story! The people here are great!
If you’re thinking about volunteering with Bedford Players, you should try something to see if you enjoy it, since there are so many different areas you can be involved in. Then continue on with the same job or try something new for the next production. That’s the best part of BP – you have the opportunity to try new things! Experienced members are available to help, guide, and mentor new volunteers. It’s a safe and fun place to let your creativity shine!
