Leah Spicer
Featured Volunteer – March 2022
I first joined Bedford Players in late 2019, to be the Assistant Stage Manager for the production “What a Fine Monster You Are”, directed by Kim Shaw. My friend and I joined BP as an after-school activity to broaden our involvement in the theatre community.
I have had the opportunity to participate in the Bedford Players community as an Assistant Stage Manager, and Stage Manager for the upcoming show, “The Somewhat True Tale ofRobin Hood”.
Being Stage Manager is like a dream come true- I love being able to watch the play come to life bit by bit. I have so much pride and respect for all the actors and volunteers I have worked with.
The best part about BP is the “family bond” you form while working on a show. You get to meet all these hardworking people, who want to put on a great show for the community. Over time, you get to know these people, and form a precious bond. These bonds for me hold a special
place in my heart, and I will never forget the talented souls I have met. If someone is thinking about joining the wonderful group here at Bedford Players, I say “Do it!”. No one knows what tomorrow might bring. Take life day by day and give it a shot! There are options for everyone at BP.
