About us: | Bedford Players is a community theatre in Bedford, Nova Scotia. Bedford Players has been producing quality theatre for over 40 years and currently produces 3 productions per season with 11 performances each. |
Overview: | The Technical Director at Bedford Players will provide consistency and continuity within their area of responsibility and will oversee the technical aspects of our community theatre’s productions, including lighting, sound, and special effects. This role, in this theatre, does not include oversight of set design and/or construction. The ideal candidate should have a passion for theatre and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. This role requires both creative vision and practical skills. |
Responsibilities: |

Time Commitment: | A general estimate of time commitment is approximately 30-35 hours spread over the course of the production, from planning stages to the close of the show run. |

Technical Details: | Space – Bedford Players performs in a church hall with seating for 136.

Other: | NOTE: The Technical Director, in the context of Bedford Players, is responsible for lights and sound only.
Transition – the current Technical Director is happy to answer questions and provide support to the incoming TD for a smooth transition. |
