April Play Read

On Wednesday, APRIL 1st at 7pm, we invite you to participate in a group reading of:

The Savanah Sipping Society  – a comedy by Jones, Hope & Wooten

Four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by fate – and an impromptu happy hour – and they decide it’s high time to reclaim their former enthusiasm for life. Over the course of six months filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jump-start their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment – and most importantly, realize it’s never too late to make new old friends.

Join the Bedford Players as we bring to life this wonderful comedy about friendship and what can happen when you step out of your comfort zone, at our next monthly play read.

What is a play read?
A play read is a casual, no-pressure evening where we come together as a group to read through a play. You’ll have the opportunity to take on a character (or characters) throughout the evening. Or, just sit back and listen if that’s more your thing.
It’s not an audition! It’s not a performance! It’s simply a fun evening spent together.
Why do we do play reads?
Bedford Players is always on the lookout for new shows to put on stage. Rather than simply having a small group of us read plays alone at home, we invite the community to come together so we can play with the script and bring it to life as we decide if it’s the right fit for our theatre.
Who can come read?
Everyone! YOU! We hope to see you there.
Great, I’ll be there. Where is it?

In the downstairs lounge of our theatre at 1408 Bedford Highway.

See you Wednesday, April 1, at 7pm!
