This period drama pulls you straight into the charged atmosphere of a 1950s London trial, where nothing is as straightforward as it seems. The charming Leonard Vole, stands accused of murdering a rich widow and must fight to escape the hangman’s noose. As the barristers battle for truth, loyalties shift, motives blur, and the tension coils tighter with every revelation. The audience becomes part of the courtroom itself, weighing evidence, questioning characters, and wondering who—if anyone—is telling the whole truth. In classic Christie’ fashion, this suspenseful thriller keeps audiences guessing until the very end!
There are 13 roles available, (5 female, 8 male) with auditions on Sunday, August 16 (7pm-9:30) , and Monday, August 17 (7pm-9:30).
Self Help
A farce by Norm Foster, directed by Lorraine Cantwell

Self Help, by Canada’s most produced playwright, Norm Foster, is a door-slamming, high octane farce that takes place in the home of Hal and Cindy Savage. These former struggling actors have evolved into self-help gurus, and basically for the money, not for the good of mankind. Their new, affluent lifestyle, however, is suddenly threatened by a dead body turning up in their study and from that point, the action does not stop – with the unexpected arrival of an eccentric policeman, their ruthless agent, and an investigative reporter. For self-help gurus, Hal and Cindy themselves are one-hundred percent incapable of following their own advice when faced with their own crisis! Bedford Players patrons love to laugh, and Norm Foster is the undisputed king of Canadian comedy. This play is pure, hilarious escapism and is exactly the kind of fast-paced, witty, and engaging night out at the theatre that BP audiences love!

Savannah Sipping Society
A heartwarming comedy by Jones Hope Wooten, directed by Randy Burt
On stage June 3 – 19, 2027
Savannah Sipping Society is a contemporary Southern comedy set in Savannah, by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten (known as Jones Hope Wooten); one of the most widely produced playwrighting entities in the United States. The play follows four single women — Randa, Dot, Marlafaye, and Jinx — all in their 40s to 60s. They meet by accident, collectively realize life is a bit of a dumpster fire, and decide to team up to try new things, shake up their routines, and basically reboot their lives together… it’s awkward, it’s messy, and it’s definitely hilarious! Each character has great moments and this show is incredibly actor‑friendly; monologues, personality, big swings, little gems; every character gets something fun to play with. This story is warm, it’s charming, and it keeps the laughs coming – the perfect way to start your summer!
This heartwarming comedy has a cast of 4 women. Auditions will be held March 21 & 22.
